The following was again before the House in third reading: CS FOR SPONSOR SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 42(FIN) "An Act relating to civil liability for certain false or improper allegations in a civil pleading or for certain improper acts relating to a civil action; amending Rules 79 and 82(b), Alaska Rules of Civil Procedure." Representative Mulder placed a call of the House. The call was satisfied. The question to be reconsidered: "Shall CSSSHB 42(FIN) pass the House?" Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that the roll call on the passage of the bill be considered the roll call on the court rule changes. Representative Berkowitz objected. The question being: "Shall the court rule changes be adopted?" And so, lacking the necessary 27 votes, the court rule changes were not adopted on reconsideration, and the new title appears below: CS FOR SPONSOR SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 42(FIN)(ct rule fld) "An Act relating to civil liability for certain false or improper allegations in a civil pleading or for certain improper acts relating to a civil action." CSSSHB 42(FIN)(ct rule fld) was referred to the Chief Clerk for engrossment.
